Regional Artists on Display
In Exhibit to Help Benefit United Way
The Boston area is a haven to many accomplished artists. Specialty works from some of these local artists are now on display and for sale at Art Advisory/Bostons Holiday 2000 Benefit Exhibition, which runs until December 21st. The United Way of Massachusetts Bay will be the primary beneficiary of the exhibit.
"We are delighted that Art Advisory/Boston is helping United Ways mission to strengthen children and families in the community, especially during this holiday season," said Marian L. Heard, president and chief executive officer of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay.
Art Advisory/Boston, a semi-private art gallery and advisory, is now in its 11th year of exhibiting and placing original art by local and regional artists in corporate and private collections. The exhibit features pieces from numerous Massachusetts artists ranging from collages and lithographs to pastels and photography. The 14 artists will have an average of four works on display, and each piece is either a signed limited edition or original. Artwork ranges from $75.00 - $1,000.00.
"The United Way does so much for all of the local communities," said Jennifer Wood-Patrick, president of Art Advisory/Boston. "This is just our way of giving back."
The exhibit recognizes AA/Bs commitment to the United Way. The United Way of MA Bay funds more than 200 human service organizations in 80 cities and towns in eastern Massachusetts. Nearly 2 million children and families are served throughout Greater Boston.
